Tirix Privacy Policy

Tirix is a relationship stories, advice, and psychology app published by TirixStudio. This policy explains what information is handled when you read Tirix, create an account, comment, or use community-safety features.

Reading without an account

You can read posts without creating a reader account. Search history, your saved-post list, display settings, and cached posts are stored on your device. If you use a verified reader account, Tirix also stores your current favourite status for each post so it can show community save totals.

Reader accounts and comments

If you create an account, Tirix and its service providers process your email address and account identifier to create and secure your sign-in and verify your email. Your password is handled by Firebase Authentication and is not displayed in Tirix.

Your nickname, optional profile photo, comments, and comment dates are stored to provide the comment feature. Your nickname, photo, and comments are visible to other readers. Your email address is not shown publicly.

When signed in with a verified account, your current emoji reaction, upvote or downvote, and favourite status are linked to your account identifier to prevent duplicate responses and keep the totals accurate. Other readers see only the combined counts for each post, not which account reacted or voted.

If you report a comment or profile, Tirix stores the report reason, any details you provide, the account identifier needed to prevent duplicate reports, and the review outcome. Blocked-account choices and moderation notices or confirmed-strike status are stored to provide safety controls and enforce the community rules.

Stories submitted to Tirix

You can submit a story in the app without a reader account. If you choose “Track this submission,” you must use a verified Tirix reader account; Tirix stores your account identifier with that submission so only you can view its status and any review message, and delete it before publication. This identifier is not shown with the story. If you do not choose tracking, the submission is not linked to your reader account. Every submission is reviewed before publication, and published stories are presented anonymously. Please avoid including contact details or other information you do not want the Tirix team to receive.

Advertising and service providers

Tirix uses Firebase services from Google for sign-in and email verification, and Firestore to store posts, comments, profile information, moderation records, and account-linked engagement choices. Firebase Hosting serves Tirix’s privacy and account-deletion pages. Firebase processes information on Tirix’s behalf to provide these services.

Tirix uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display ads. Google’s SDK may automatically collect and share information such as IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes. The SDK may use IP address to estimate general location. See Google’s Google Play data disclosure for the Mobile Ads SDK for details.

How information is used and protected

Tirix uses account and community information to operate sign-in and comments, show your public profile, process reports, prevent abuse, moderate content, and provide account support. Information is transmitted to Firebase and Google Mobile Ads over encrypted connections. The privacy and security practices of those providers also apply to their processing.

Deletion and retention

You can request account deletion in the app under Settings → My Tirix account → Delete Tirix account, or follow the instructions at Delete your Tirix account. After Tirix verifies your request, we manually delete your sign-in account, profile, comments and replies, submitted reports, block list, account moderation records, and account-linked reactions, votes, and favourite choices. Combined post totals may remain without an account link.

Tracked story submissions are not automatically removed when you delete your Tirix account. Delete an unpublished tracked submission from My submissions before deleting your account, or contact Tirix to request its removal. Untracked submissions are not linked to your account; contact Tirix and provide enough information to identify one. A story that has already been published cannot be deleted from My submissions. Temporary copies may remain in routine backups until those backups are rotated.

Children

Tirix is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not designed for children.
